Lord’s Cricket Ground signs Re:Water
Re:Water, the official bottled water supplier of Lord’s, has extended its partnership with Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) to December 2027.
Since partnering in 2023, Re:Water has helped MCC improve recycling rates from 15% to 50%.
Re:Water supplies MCC and Lord’s with 100% recycled aluminium bottle with still and sparkling water, sourced and packaged at origin in Herefordshire.
The aluminium keeps water cooler and fresher for longer, whilst the bottle is designed to be lightweight, yet durable, which means spectators can refill and reuse it time and time again.
Re:Water has established itself as the preferred supplier to some of the most recognised sustainability events globally, including the G7 Summit in Cornwall and COP26 in Glasgow in 2021.
MCC Commercial Director, Andy Muggleton, said: “Sustainability has been a priority at Lord’s for some time, which is why it was a straightforward decision to extend our successful partnership with Re:Water.
“Re:Water is a company that is aligned with our values, and since partnering, has helped us to reduce waste as we continue on the path towards becoming a net-zero carbon Club.”
Co-Founder, Ben Richardson said: “We’re thrilled to be extending our partnership with MCC and continuing our work with such an iconic venue. Re:Water was created to offer a genuinely sustainable alternative to single-use plastic, and it’s fantastic to see Lord’s embracing the circular economy.
